What Are Some of the Developmental Milestones For a New-born Baby?

Your baby’s head is kind of shaky at this stage. He does not know how to hold his neck. His head might look unshaped as he had been squeezed out of your birth canal ( if given birth vaginally). His arms and legs are still curled up, and fists are closed.

Your child’s hearing is not entirely developed. He is familiar with your voice that he often heard while you argued about silly things with your partner or siblings.

The vision at this stage is significantly blurred. Baby’s eyes might cross as the muscles that control eye movements aren’t yet fully developed.

You’ll be surprised to find out that your child recognizes your scent immediately after birth.

How Much Should My Newborn Feed?

If you are breastfeeding, your child needs to be fed every 2-3 hours. But it might be the case that your cuddle bear is not ready to leave your side and is practically stuck to you for a long time. Please do not panic; it’s perfectly okay! Most of the babies cluster feed.

If your child is formula-fed, he will need 2-3 ounces of milk every 3 hours.

How Much Sleep Should My Newborn Sleep?

Your baby loves to sleep at this stage! He would sleep at least 16 hours a day, only to be woken up for another session of milk.
